Derek has practiced social work and therapy in a variety of settings from community mental health to corrections, outpatient and inpatient crisis stabilization and private practice. Derek works to create a  safe, open and comforting space for  building client insight and skill development, personal growth, and healing. Derek is also an artist and musician and enjoys helping clients find ways to include personal passions as part of the therapeutic healing process.
